General recognition of achievements B.Sc. Engineering and Business Administration (examination regulation 2022)
In the 5th semester the achievements that have been effected during the semester abroad can be yielded within the framework of the general recognition. All necessary steps for that are described below. Should you have any questions regarding this topic, the International Office of the Faculty of Economics and Management will consult you.
General
According to the recommendatory timetable in Hannover in the 5th semester the courses to the extent of 10 ECTS in the area Economics must be successfully completed. The students who request the general recognition of achievements have not to complete the same courses abroad as the offered courses in Hannover.
-
Allocation of ECTS
Allocation of effected ECTS occurs as follows:
- The required 10 ECTS for the general recognition will be acknowledged in the Economics competence area with a maximum of 10 ECTS.
- If fewer than 10 ECTS credits are obtained from abroad, the missing ECTS credits must be earned through the courses offered here
-
Modules with content of Economics and Management
The economic modules completed abroad should fulfill the following criteria:
- Modules with content of Economics and Management, e.g. “Financial Derivatives” but not “Spanish History”
- Modules that have not been listened until the studies abroad, e.g. “Behavioural Economics” but not “Introduction to Economics”
- Modules that correspond at least to the level of the 5th semester, e.g. the course from the 3rd year of bachelor studies or from master but not from the first year of bachelor studies.
-
Courses outside the subject area
It is not possible to get credits from not Economic modules.
-
Marks
Within the framework of general recognition translation of marks of the effected achievements abroad doesn’t take place.
-
Leave of absence
If during the stay abroad no achievements at the Leibniz University Hannover will be effected, the Admissions Offices recommends the leave of absence.
